Scott Lunke, Controller

Years at C & B: since October 1995

Background: Grew up in the Minneapolis, MN area - born in Sauk Center, Minnesota. Granddad and Dad were John Deere dealers in Thief River Falls, MN in the 40’s and 50’s.  They sold out and Dad worked for the John Deere Minneapolis sales branch.  At one time five Lunkes working for Deere – Dad, my uncle Don, 2 cousins - Brent and Wayne, and myself. 

Previous work experience:  Started picking parts at the Minneapolis branch parts depot summers during first two years of college.  After graduating, worked for East Moline, IL and Portland, Oregon, John Deere sales branches.  In 1978 became AG Territory Manager for the Portland sales branch, in Chico, CA.  1980-89, moved one territory south as AG Territory Manager, in Sacramento, CA, covering the Napa valley, the north end of the Sacramento valley and Nevada. Returned to John Deere in Woodland, CA, in 1992 as company controller.  Moved to Gettysburg and C & B, in 1995.

Education: BS in Business Administration with a specialization in finance - 1977, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. 

Organizations: lifetime member of: Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville  Alumni Association; Delta Sigma Pi, and the League of American Cyclists; Past President of Sacramento Bike Hikers (cycling club), and supporter of public radio.
