Company History 

South Dakota
C & B Operations was formed in 1988 with the purchase of a John Deere farm equipment dealership in Gettysburg, South Dakota. This dealership is operated as Potter County Equipment and is the site of our South Dakota regional headquarters as well as C & B Operations corporate headquarters.

In 1989 the John Deere dealership in Selby, South Dakota was purchased and is operated as Walworth County Implement. The John Deere dealerships in Miller and Roscoe, South Dakota were added in November of 1995 and January 1996 respectively bringing the South Dakota region to its current level of four stores. Miller is operated as GreenLine Implement of Hand County and Roscoe is operated as Edmunds County Implement.

Montana
In March 1997 C & B Operations purchased the John Deere dealership in Billings, Montana. It is operated as Yellowstone County Implement and is the site of our Montana/Wyoming regional headquarters.

The John Deere dealership in Miles City, Montana was acquired in January 1998 and is operated as Horizon Implement. Also at this time, a diesel engine pump repair business, Signature Fuel Systems, was formed in Billings, Montana and is operated from within Yellowstone County Implement facilities.

Idaho
Our Idaho region is comprised of two eastern Idaho dealerships purchased in April 1997. They are operated as Bonneville County Implement in Idaho Falls and Madison County Implement in Rexburg. The Idaho regional headquarters is located in the Idaho Falls facility.

Minnesota
Our Minnesota region is comprised of three dealerships located in the south/central part of the state. St. James and Jackson were purchased in September 1997 and both are operated as Tri County Implement. Truman, Minnesota was purchased in May 2000 and is operated as Martin County Implement. The regional sales manager operates out of the Truman facility.

Wyoming
In order to more effectively support the company's customers in Sheridan, Wyoming a new John Deere dealership was established there in March 2000. This location is operated as Sheridan County Implement and is part of the Montana/Wyoming region with headquarters in Billings, Montana. On the 9th of January 2008 the dealership in Powell, Wyoming was purchased and is being operated as Park County Implement.
